On the 2nd Saturday in May of each year, we hold a community food drive.  In partnership with our local post offices, residents hang their food donations on the mailbox.  Postal workers pick up the food on their regular mail run.  The following Monday, United Way volunteers pick up the food from the Post Offices and deliver it to our 4 local food shelves.  We collect approximately 2 tons of food annually.
